Expand LEGO 10332 Medieval Town Square with 71045 Series 25 with ease

Expanding LEGO Icons 10332 Medieval Town Square is easy with multiple options available, including some affordable and appropriate minifigures.

As well as the likes of 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle, other ideal additions to 10332 Medieval Town Square (and a more affordable one) are a few minifigures from the new 71045 Series 25 Collectible Minifigures series.

Specifically, the Shepherd (and goat), Vampire Knight (or Basil the Bat Lord) are ideal additions to the town model for their close connections to the set’s fauna and LEGO Castle. For instance, Basil and the Wolfpack minifigure could be scouting the town for a future attack, or maybe turning over a new leaf together.

The Shepherd is much easier to integrate thanks to the chest factory and its sole goat. Adding another goat to the outdoor area and a shepherd to care for them makes sense in the narrative of the model and they wouldn’t look quite as out of place as Basil, despite his close LEGO Castle connections. The Fierce Barbarian and Harpy could fit in too, provided you’re willing to take the medieval model in a fantastical direction.

At £3.49 / $4.99 / €4.99 each, the new minifigures have one major downside when it comes to expanding 10332 Medieval Town Square – a change in packaging that has removed the ability to feel out specific minifigures. Thankfully, Brick Search has a feature to fix this and it’s available on iOS and Android devices.

The Brick Search app can be used to scan a code on the bottom of the boxes and identify the specific minifigure inside. Note that this only works with the larger data matrix codes, though they appear to be more common than their smaller variants at the time of writing. Brick Search is available to download foriOS devices here and forAndroid devices here.

It makes the process of expanding your medieval or fantasy LEGO world a lot easier and even allows you to find multiple copies of a minifigure with ease – we wonder how many goats will fit in the cheese factory’s pen.

Ahead of 10332 Medieval Town Square’s launch on March 1 for LEGO Insiders or March 4 for everyone for £199.99 / $229.99 / €229.99, you can use Brick Search on iOS and Android to find the goats, Fright Knights, Harpys or another minifigures you want to collect.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
