First look at LEGO Inside Tour 2024 set The Vault Memory Lane

One of just a handful of attendees of the LEGO Inside Tour 2024 has shared images of the exclusive set, offering the rest of the world the very first look.

Each year, the LEGO Group hosts the LEGO Inside Tour, inviting dedicated fans to travel to the home of LEGO in Billund for an exclusive tour. It’s only for a select few and is therefore a pretty pricey option, with the three-day experience in 2024 costing 22,000 DKK, or roughly £2,556. That includes three nights at the LEGOLAND hotel, all meals, drinks and snacks throughout the three-day event, and an exclusive set just for attendees. Thanks to alexandthebricks on Instagram, shared via Jay’s Brick Blog, we’ve now got our first look at the set given to attendees this year.

4000042 The Vault Memory Lane recreates the real-life LEGO Vault, a space reserved only for employees and lucky guests where there’s a copy of every LEGO set ever made. There are actually several in Billund but this specific one can be found in the LEGO House (although by invitation only).

The brick-built model of the vault was designed by team efforts of Design Master Henrik Andersen and LEGO House Master Model Builder Stuart Harris, who worked on the concept model. There are various mini LEGO sets on shelves, with stickers to signify specific iconic sets. From these images, we reckon we’ve been able to spot 10305 Lion Knight’s Castle on one shelf, but it’s hard to be sure. Safe to say, there are plenty of fun references for LEGO fans dotted throughout 4000042 The Vault Memory Lane.

There’s also a nice nod to the LEGO Group’s history with a tiny green wooden duck, one of the LEGO Group’s earliest ever products. This element is the first time it’s ever been released in this specific dark green, marking another exclusive inclusion for the set.

If you want to head off to Billund and get yourself a copy of next year’s exclusive LEGO Inside Tour set for 2025, keep your eyes peeled in the autumn months. Registration for 2024 opened on October 19, so we’d expect a similar timeline this year.
