LEGO Marvel 76295 The Avengers Helicarrier revealed

A brand new 18+ LEGO Marvel set is soaring on to shelves in August in 76295 The Avengers Helicarrier, which revisits a previous model at a brand new scale.

Aping the approach of the LEGO Star Wars Starship Collection, 76295 The Avengers Helicarrier recreates the MCU’s most iconic flying runway in midi-scale. It’s a space-friendly approach to displaying what was previously a mammoth LEGO Marvel set in 2015’s 76042 The SHIELD Helicarrier. That set weighed in at 2,996 pieces, while 76295 The Avengers Helicarrier includes only 509 elements.

That makes it a good bit cheaper than its predecessor too, coming in at €79.99 (compared to the 2015 model’s €349.99 price tag). Initial images of the August 1 release come from German retailer Lucky Bricks, which has also today revealed a brand new LEGO Star Wars Ahsoka set arriving next month. We’ll presumably see a full reveal of the Marvel set at LEGO.com within the next day or so.

That’s also when we’ll get confirmation of 76295 The Avengers Helicarrier’s price around the world, but something in the region of £69.99 in the UK and $79.99 in the US feels like a safe bet based on its Euro price tag. That puts it roughly in line with this year’s LEGO Star Wars midi-scale sets, including 75375 Millennium Falcon and 75376 Tantive IV.

Like those sets, 76295 The Avengers Helicarrier sits on a buildable display stand with what appears to be a printed plaque reminding you what you’ve just built. You’ll be able to get your hands on it from August 1 alongside a full wave of new LEGO Marvel sets. Check out everything confirmed and rumoured for this year below.
