LEGO to make a massive appearance at 2024 British Grand Prix

The LEGO Group has been confirmed to make an appearance at the 2024 British Grand Prix at Silverstone next month, showcasing a trio of models.

The LEGO Group and Silverstone are teasing the showcase of some LEGO builds at the 2024 British Grand Prix on Instagram, specifically confirming models inspired by Aston Martin, Mercedes and McLaren. They will be featured in the LEGO Family Zone at the race from July 5 to 7. On X, a post from Silverstone also teases a Lamborghini model, though this may be footage from a past event that is being reused.

Though the post does not specifically state it and only shows the currently available LEGO Formula 1 models, it seems likely that the post is teasing the showcase of massive models as they have done at previous Formula 1 events.

The LEGO Group’s recent list of huge Formula 1 recreations includes a deconstructed McLaren Formula 1 race car, a life-size LEGO Icons 10330 McLaren MP4/4 and a huge Mercedes W14. There have been no such models for Aston Martin so far and it’s entirely possible that the post is just referring to the smaller sets being shown off.

Alternatively, we may see the reveal of another LEGO Big Build next month, as the LEGO Group has been known to reveal new massive Formula 1 models at races. That’s not confirmed though and you should set expectations accordingly ahead of the 2024 British Grand Prix.

The LEGO Family Zone will be open at Silverstone from July 5 to 7 but the map of the event does not confirm exactly where on the grounds it is located. Hopefully, there’s clear signage on the day.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
