LEGO BrickHeadz Batman 8in1 Figure variant looks very familiar

While 40748 Batman 8in1 Figure offers fans plenty of variety, one of the LEGO BrickHeadz options is nearly identical to a previous SDCC exclusive.

We got our first official look at 40748 Batman 8in1 Figure this week, with the 352-piece LEGO BrickHeadz set due to launch on July 17 for £24.99 / $24.99 / €24.99. The model offers up eight different versions of the Dark Knight for fans to construct, although it’s only possible to make one of those at a time.

40748 Batman 8in1 Figure appears to have drawn its line-up of Caped Crusaders from a variety of comic book, TV show and movie sources, but one blocky variant option looks nearly identical to a previously released convention exclusive set.

There certainly seem to be plenty of similarities between 40748 Batman 8in1 Figure and 41491 Batman & The Joker, with the latter only available during San Diego Comic-Con 2016. The two-pack could be purchased by those in attendance at the show and included brick-built versions of both Bruce Wayne’s alter ego and the Clown Prince of Crime.

A closer look at 40748 Batman 8in1 Figure’s Bronze Age Batman 245 variant reveals that the character is an almost perfect match for the version included in the SDCC set, from the pose and colouring to the overall classic look of the DC hero.

However, it’s worth pointing out that 41491 Batman & The Joker’s Dark Knight does lack glow-in-the-dark eyes, has a different printed torso, appears to be a slightly darker shade of blue and the sides of the model’s head are assembled using 2×3 tiles. The SDCC set also includes a unique LEGO BrickHeadz version of The Joker, so the SDCC exclusive build is still worth hunting around for.

You’ll be able to decide which version of the Caped Crusader you’ll want to build first when 40748 Batman 8in1 Figure is released on July 17, priced at £24.99 / $24.99 / €24.99.
