LEGO DREAMZzz minifigures rumoured for LEGO stores
A future LEGO Build a Minifigure assortment is rumoured to feature a crossover with an original LEGO theme following a NINJAGO wave last year
To mark the debut of LEGO NINJAGO: Dragons Rising in 2023, The assortment of parts available for Build a Minifigure stations in LEGO stores was updated to include some NINJAGO pieces. Specifically, Kai, Nya, Sora, Arin and Lloyd were featured and available for purchase outside of traditional sets.
It wasn’t quite a non-movie NINJAGO minifigure series, but it timed nicely with the release of 71799 NINJAGO City Markets at the time. Now, another original theme might be taking over the Build a Minifigure assortment later this year. Instagram user fateful_lego reports that LEGO DREAMZzz is coming to Build a Minifigure stations in 2024.
Given the upcoming launch of 71486 Castle Nocturnia – LEGO DREAMZzz’s biggest set so far – on August 1, the rumoured Build a Minifigure range may arrive close to that date similar to what we saw last year with 71799 NINJAGO City Markets. No further details are reported though.
That’s only speculation and nothing has been officially confirmed by the LEGO Group at the time of writing. Provided this rumour is accurate, it seems wise to expect at least Mateo and Izzy to feature in the rumoured assortment. The duo appear to be the main characters in the theme currently similar to Arin and Sora for LEGO NINJAGO: Dragons Rising.
