Full wave of LEGO Fortnite sets rumoured for October 2024
An entire wave of LEGO Fortnite sets is rumoured to be on the way in October, almost a year after the game mode initially dropped.
LEGO Fortnite’s survival crafting mode launched in December 2023, with a small buildable Loot Llama (that was not readily available to purchase) the only sign of a physical tie-in. But Instagram user maxbautde now claims that five LEGO Fortnite sets and an accompanying gift-with-purchase will arrive in October 2024 – almost a full year on from the game’s debut.
The builds are said to range in price from €29.99 to €119.99, while one – 77072 Peely Bone, priced at €59.99 – is thought to be an 18+ model. That’s one of two buildable characters in the mix, says maxbautde, though it’s not clear whether the other one he’s referring to is 77071 Loot Llama or one of the other three mystery sets.
At the moment, the only other hint of the sets’ contents is the German word ‘gestrichen’ attached to 77074, the largest model in the wave. That translates to a few different words, but in this context it seems most likely to mean ‘painted’, which… still doesn’t give us a lot to go on. It could also mean ‘cancelled’, suggesting this set was planned but has been canned, which would explain why it doesn’t have a release date like the rest.
The other four sets will supposedly be available concurrently with the LEGO Fortnite gift-with-purchase from October 1, suggesting the LEGO Group is hoping to incentivise day one purchases with a thematic freebie. It sounds like a fairly substantial gift, too, weighing in at 151 pieces. Details including its qualifying spend have yet to be confirmed.
In fact, nothing here should be considered confirmed until it’s actually revealed by the LEGO Group. If the October release date is true, that could be a ways off yet. Check out all the details we have so far in the table below.
