More LEGO Horizon Adventures details confirmed
LEGO Horizon Adventures has made a surprise appearance in the latest Nintendo Direct, confirming more details for the next LEGO game.
Despite being based on a PlayStation franchise, LEGO Horizon Adventures is coming to PlayStation 5, PC and Nintendo Switch and Nintendo has showcased the title in the June 2024 Nintendo Direct. A new trailer for the title was revealed with a few key details to spot.
As well as a glimpse at more LEGO machines, a further look at the customisation of the Mother’s Heart village was featured. This includes a rollercoaster and a surprise NINJAGO cameo via the gates of the Monastery of Spinjitzu. Don’t expect much more than that from NINJAGO in the title, though Classic Space has an outfit for Aloy and the crew to wear so further crossover with select themes is evidently allowed.
The most important detail in the new trailer is confirmation that Erend will be playable. The Oseram tribesman is a major character in the first and second Horizon games and – similar to Varl – has yet to receive a physical LEGO minifigure. There may be a fourth playable character in the trailer too.
Accompanying Varl through the cityscape is another character with a brown cap and what appears to be white hair. We wonder if this could be Teersa, who plays a pivotal role in starting Aloy on her adventures and despite her age, a LEGO game could be a chance to explore her character in a setting where her age isn’t quite as limiting.
Alternatively, this may be a custom outfit applied to Aloy, Erend or Varl but it would be the only appearance of this feature in standard gameplay so far to our knowledge. We’ll know more when the game launches later this year but there are at least three playable characters for now.
