The new LEGO Marvel Helicarrier hasn’t missed a trick

LEGO Marvel 76295 The Avengers Helicarrier may seem to miss a trick but rest assured that it can sit nearly aside the LEGO Star Wars starships.

76295 The Avengers Helicarrier has been officially revealed with a gallery of images on the official online store, expanding the concept of the LEGO Star Wars Starship Collection to LEGO Marvel. While the main shot of the set may suggest that there’s a key difference between 76295 The Avengers Helicarrier and the LEGO Star Wars Starship recreations, the model isn’t entirely static.

The main image for 76295 The Avengers Helicarrier features the Helicarrier pointing in the same direction as its nameplate, while the LEGO Star Wars Starship Collection is designed to be displayed with the stand rotated 90 degrees to the right.

You might have thought that this makes it annoyingly incompatible with the LEGO Star Wars range, but further images detail that the brick-built Helicarrier can be displayed on the stand facing four directions as the build is held on with eight studs.

Don’t let the main image for the model confuse you, the new LEGO Marvel set can be displayed neatly next to the LEGO Star Wars starships The stand isn’t quite the same shape and length as the Star Wars sets, but it’s a close enough match all things considered.

76295 The Avengers Helicarrier launches on August 1, 2024, and the model is available to pre-order now for £69.99 / $79.99 / €79.99. It’s the second LEGO Star Wars collection to cross over with LEGO Marvel following a few heroic additions to the LEGO Star Wars Helmet Collection, which has similarly crossed over with DC too.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
