LEGO MASTERS Season 4 set rumoured for August 2024

The upcoming LEGO set based on the winning model from LEGO MASTERS Season 4 is now rumoured to land on shelves in August – and may be headlining a brand new theme for 2024.

We’ve known since last year that the LEGO Group has been planning a new set in conjunction with LEGO MASTERS USA Season 4 winners Christopher and Robert, inspired by the duo’s design that scored them the show’s trophy in the finale. Instagram user itavixbrix now reports (via Brick Clicker) that 41838 Family Travel Memories will debut on August 1, 2024, priced at $149.99 for 1,321 pieces.

Christopher and Robert’s winning model includes their ‘World Wonderliner’ airplane at an enormous eight feet long, with vignettes inspired by China, Italy and Kenya sprouting from its cabin. But the finished product sounds like it’s only going to be loosely based on that concept, as it will apparently include a large, two-dimensional map of the Earth alongside the World Wonderliner. Whether the trio of dioramas will be represented remains to be seen.

What’s potentially more interesting about this rumour is that 41838 Family Travel Memories will apparently be branded under a new theme titled LEGO Family. It’s tricky to say at this stage what else might come from such a theme – especially given this first set is such a fresh concept for the LEGO Group as a whole – but we’ll hopefully find out more very soon.

While we know that the LEGO MASTERS Season 4 set is coming at some stage, any other details on its release should be treated lightly for now.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
