LEGO’s next Modular Building could be released early for second year running

The latest rumours suggest that the LEGO Group could be releasing its next Modular Building early for the second year in a row.

The release schedule of the Modular Buildings could be permanently changed, if the latest rumours are anything to go by. After 10326 Natural History Museum was released in December 2023, rather than January 2024, breaking the pattern of the sub-theme, rumours reported by Polish fan site FanKlockow, via brick_clicker, suggest that a LEGO Icons set with the set number 10350 is due for release on December 1, 2024.

While details are sparse about the rumoured set, FanKlockow reports that it should be the next Modular Building. This would mark the second year running that the annual set came out in December rather than January, suggesting it could be a permanent change rather than a one-off for 10326 Natural History Museum.

If true, it does mean that releasing the Modular Building early means it can be gifted for Christmas rather than coming just after the holiday season. However, it does mark a major departure from a years-long tradition, with the new year normally being synonymous with a new entry to the LEGO Modular Buildings sub-theme. Of course, we don’t know for sure whether 10350 is on its way in December or even if it’s a modular building, so take it with a pinch of salt for now.
