Familiar LEGO set feature could be getting the set it deserves

An uncommon but impressively functional LEGO feature could finally be getting the set it deserves via a new LEGO Ideas project.

Norders on LEGO Ideas has earned a spot in the second 2024 review round with their working projector creation. This is not their first submission to reach 10,000 supporters, though they’ve yet to become a fan designer.

Their latest attempt at success takes the projection feature seen in a few LEGO sets and upscale it with an impressively functional LEGO projector.

513 pieces are used and it’s powered by a phone so a light brick wouldn’t be necessary, keeping the price down for a potential LEGO Ideas set. Projectors are nothing new to the LEGO Group and the most recent inclusion of a working LEGO projector is in 40600 Disney 100 Years Celebration. As stated in our review, the effect works well and we’d be interested to see what could be done on a much larger scale.

For now, Norders’ projector has a spot in the second 2024 review and the round is still accepting submissions, giving 11 projects a chance at becoming a future LEGO Ideas set.
