LEGO Star Wars’ August wave is perfect for Ahsoka fans

Ahsoka has received lots of attention from the LEGO Group and the August wave of LEGO Star Wars seems ideal for fans of the Disney+ series.

Ahsoka, the series not the character, now has four LEGO sets with three from last year including 75357 Ghost & Phantom II and the LEGO Group is already expanding on that range ahead of Season 2 with 75385 Ahsoka Tano’s Duel on Peridea on August 1.

The 382-piece model is part of a larger wave of LEGO Star Wars sets launching in August that just so happens to include a new Star Destroyer, though it’s unfortunately not the Chimaera . 75394 Imperial Star Destroyer instead is based on the original trilogy with a bonus Cal Kestis minifigure included for the 25th anniversary.

Thankfully, 75385 Ahsoka Tano’s Duel on Peridea includes Thrawn and a Night Trooper in case you want to display these two upcoming sets together as a homage to the finale of Ahsoka’s first season.

These two builds both launch in August and for Ahsoka enthusiasts, you can make this coincidence even better with a free suggested upgrade from CLUN_k. Their instructions offer an affordable modification to the base of 75394 Imperial Star Destroyer to display the Chimaera’s unique design on the upcoming Star Destroyer model. You’ll still need to figure out a way to show the underside though.

Given the Chimaera’s importance in the scene that 75385 Ahsoka Tano’s Duel on Peridea is based on, it’s a great coincidence and opportunity for Ahsoka fans who don’t already own a Star Destroyer set to modify.

The fact that these two new sets launch on the same day is just the cherry on top. Still, it’s an expensive package of models to pick up at once, especially in the case of 75385 Ahsoka Tano’s Duel on Peridea as stated in our review.
