LEGO Star Wars fans spot a familiar face in UCS Venator

Aside from the minifigures, the shape of 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser reminds LEGO Star Wars fans of a controversial character.

Images for LEGO Star Wars 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser have been revealed, confirming that one of the largest LEGO Star Wars to come out this year is definitely on its way. At 5,374-pieces, it’s an impressive display set, built to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Clone Wars this year. There are plenty of authentic details in the design of the iconic ship, including multiple turbolaser cannons, hangar bays, and brick-built engines. However, from a certain angle, all of these details create a striking likeness to a surprisingly familiar face.

The dual control bridges, marked with red lights, protude up from the main body of the ship in a way that looks eerily like Jar Jar Binks’ eyes. The red details along the body of the shop reflect Jar Jar’s reddish skin colour, or could even pass for his long tongue that always seems to be on show, whether he’s talking or not. Even the rear wings of 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser could be interpreted as Jar Jar’s ears (at a push).

While this might seem like a coincidence, Jar Jar has been at the centre of various conspiracy theories since his infamous entry to the Star Wars fandom in the prequel trilogy. Theories that Jar Jar is a secret Sith, or that he knows secrets about the Skywalker dynasty that could change everything, have fed the Star Wars community for years – so could the LEGO Group be trying to send us a secret Binks-themed message?

Well, probably not. Jar Jar can only really be ‘seen’ in 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser from specific angles. From every other angle, it’s simply an enormous and incredibly detailed replica of the Clone Wars-era ship. Still, we’re sure it won’t be long before the tinfoil hats come out once more.

The LEGO Group has yet to officially announce any details regarding 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser, its release date, or international prices, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we know anything further.
