LEGO Super Mario 71427 Larry’s and Morton’s Airships Expansion Set revealed

A previously-unseen LEGO Super Mario build has been revealed in the shape of 71427 Larry’s and Morton’s Airships Expansion Set.

The LEGO Super Mario theme continues to expand, with a previously-unseen build officially revealed today. 71427 Larry’s and Morton’s Airships Expansion Set is a 1,062-piece model that will launch online and in-stores on August 1, 2023, priced at £74.99 / $79.99 / €84.99 and can be pre-ordered now.

Offering something slightly-different, the LEGO Super Mario model includes two brick-built Koopaling airships, complete with figures of Larry, Morton and a Goomba. 71427 Larry’s and Morton’s Airships Expansion Set measures over 23cm high, 19cm long and 12cm wide, with the latter vessel opening up to create a battle zone in which Morton has to be toppled in order to defeat him.

By placing any of the LEGO Super Mario theme’s interactive figures in the cockpit of either craft, it’s possible for the characters to fly the vessels, activating sound effects and even a virtual cannon battle.

71427 Larry’s and Morton’s Airships Expansion Set will be released on LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores on August 1, 2023, priced at £74.99 / $79.99 / €84.99.
