New LEGO NINJAGO summer 2024 set names rumoured
Previously rumoured LEGO NINJAGO sets now have names, suggesting that we’ve already seen a huge part of Season 2 in an upcoming set.
Instagram user brick_clicker reports that five previously rumoured LEGO NINJAGO sets may have their names, offering an idea of what to potentially expect from the rumoured models. They also have rumoured release dates, hinting at when the third NINJAGO 2024 wave could be coming.
Take all rumoured information with caution but otherwise here’s what’s reported for LEGO NINJAGO in summer 2024.
71816 Zane’s Ice Motorbike
Price: $9.99 Pieces: 84 Release date: June 1, 2024
Following his first motorbike in 70639 Street Race of Snake Jaguar, Zane is rumoured to be getting another bike as the smallest set of the reported June 2024 NINJAGO selection. Zane would likely be included as a minifigure alongside a villain character similar to 71768 Jay’s Golden Dragon Motorbike.
71818 Tournament Arena Battle
Price: $49.99 Pieces: 659 Release date: June 1, 2024
Coming at a rumoured 659 pieces for $49.99, a sizable arena is being reported for June for some kind of tournament. The most iconic tournament in NINJAGO is the previously-hold Tournament of Elements which had a few sets including one for the 10th anniversary but given that this is a new era of NINJAGO, there’s likely not going to be any major connection between them.
71820 Combo Ninja Vehicle
Price: $89.99 Pieces: 576 Release date: June 1, 2024
A new combo vehicle following both the various Ultra Sonic Raider sets and 71765 Ninja Ultra Combo Mech is rumoured in the form of 71820 Combo Ninja Vehicle. Its reported price seems high at $89.99 for 576 pieces but there may be more to the rumoured model than its piece count.
71821 Cole’s Titanium Dragon Mech
Price: $99.99 Pieces: 1,055 Release date: June 1, 2024
Cole is getting some major mech treatment in 2024. He’s already had one thanks to 71806 Cole’s Elemental Earth Mech recently but now he’s rumoured to receive the massive 71821 Cole’s Titanium Dragon Mech in June with over 1,000 pieces for $99.99. For comparison, 71765 Ninja Ultra Combo Mech is $89.99 for around 1,100 pieces.
71822 Fire Source Dragon
Price: $149.99 Pieces: 1,716 Release date: June 1, 2024
The most interesting set in the new list of rumours is 71822 Fire Source Dragon. The end of the first season of LEGO NINJAGO Dragons Rising revealed that Source Dragons are the source of all elemental powers and Lloyd met one of them. Now, rumour has it that we’re getting a Source Dragon model in June and its name suggests that it’s the source of the element of fire.
We’ve already seen our first Source Dragon in a set though, and it too is fiery. The upcoming 71815 Kai’s Source Dragon Battle due in March includes a four-winged dragon breathing fire accompanied by Wyldfyre and Kai, who are both wielders of the element (or a similar one in Wyldfyre’s case). This may mean that the rumoured model could be similar to 71815 Kai’s Source Dragon Battle, but presumably bigger and more complex.
